Atomic Technical Institute (ATI) Accreditation Update

Welcome to Atomic Technical Institute

Atomic Technical Institute (ATI) is proud to be a licensed vocational school in Washington State through the Washington State Training Board (WTB). This recognition reflects the Board’s careful review of our training programs, instructors, and academic standards before certification is granted. ATI is honored to be recognized as a licensed trade school committed to quality education and workforce development.

ATI is also proud to partner with Columbia Southern University. Through this partnership, ATI students may be eligible to receive up to 48 semester credit hours for qualifying programs. This opportunity helps our graduates make meaningful progress toward a degree in a short period of time and getting CSU Reginally accreditied accredidation. We are especially proud that our President and lead professor, Dr. Paul Nims, also serves as a full-time professor and doctoral chair at CSU, further strengthening this academic relationship.

As of April 9, 2026, ATI has also achieved reciprocity certification through the Department of Energy’s National Training Center (NTC). This means ATI training MUST/SHALL be accepted by DOE sites throughout the United States. This is a significant milestone for ATI, and we are honored to be among fewer than eight organizations nationwide with this distinction.

At ATI, we remain committed to delivering high-quality training, expanding educational opportunities, and helping our students build strong futures. With these new forms of accreditation, we are on our way to help the Tri-Cities workforce community.
