This training aligns with foundational knowledge areas commonly tested on the DOE Core Exam and helps students build confidence and competence in relevant topics, and get hands on experiance with instruments and more, so they ready to enter the workforce ready to perform safely, confidently, and professionally in nuclear and radiological environments.

Our approximately 3-month program combines:

  • Live, in-person instruction

  • Structured progression through DOE Core topics

  • Practice testing aligned with DOE expectations

Instruction is delivered by qualified instructors, including Ph.D.-level professionals and Nuclear Navy veterans, bringing real-world experience and practical insight into the classroom.


All material is aligned with DOE-HDBK-1122-2009 guidance and presented in a clear, student-focused format.


What You’ll Learn (Highlights)

Students receive foundational knowledge and practical understanding in areas including:

  • Nuclear physics and applied math fundamentals

  • Radioactivity, radiation types, and biological health effects

  • Radiation and contamination surveys

  • Use of radiological detection instruments and dosimetry

  • ALARA principles and exposure control methods

  • Radiological Work Permits (RWPs) and supporting documentation

  • Recordkeeping and reporting to protect workers, the public, and the environment

  • Real Hands on experiance with instruments and job duties

  • Schedule Options:Daytime (TBD) and evening (Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday) classes available.

  • Included:Live instruction, guided review, and course materials

Who Should Enroll?

Requirements:

  • GED or high school diploma

  • No prior nuclear or radiological experience required

  • 11th and 12th grade highschool (HS) can enroll and complete the course. However, to get a job in the future, they will need a GED or HS Diploma.

Career Outlook & Earning Potential

Radiological Protection careers offer strong earning potential:

  • Entry-Level / Trainee: ~$35+ per hour

  • Experienced / Senior Technician: ~$50+ per hour

  • Overtime Rates:
    Time and a half: ~$75+ per hour
    Double time: ~$100+ per hour

Actual pay varies by site, location, and experience. These figures are illistrative based on norms.


Tuition & Enrollment Options

Live & Mentored In-Person Course Pricing: $4,999 + tax is ~$5,438.91

  • First 10 students will get in at 4250! The next five (maybe more) will save tax and be in at 4500!

  • Bring a friend: $4,000 each

  • Eligible dislocated workers can receive up to a $5,000 WorkSource grant. In supprt to help, we reduce tuition to $4,999 total.

  • In an effort to help prospective students, we offer limited financial assistance. Contact us to discuss your financial circumstances and availability

💳 Payment plans available: A deposit is required to secure enrollment. Remaining tuition is due by the stated due date (unless on a payment plan).
