Service Description

This awareness-level course helps workers recognize where asbestos may be encountered and what controls are needed to prevent exposure. Participants review common asbestos-containing materials, health effects, routes of exposure, warning signs, regulated work areas, and employer and worker responsibilities. The course reinforces the importance of stopping work, reporting suspect materials, and following site procedures when asbestos may be present. This class is intended for workers who may disturb building materials, enter older facilities, or need a stronger understanding of asbestos-related hazards.
